U.S. regulators woke up and realized climate change could cause a financial crisis

For the first time in U.S. history, a federal regulatory agency has put out a report recognizing climate change as a major threat to the economy. The report, which was commissioned by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) explains plainly that one only need to look around at the fires and floods plaguing the country to see that the stockpile of CO2 in the atmosphere has put the stability of the U.S. financial system at risk.
